About Siah
Siah Fried, MPH, NBC-HWC, is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, Certified Parent Coach, health educator, author, and speaker.
Her professional experience spans more than three decades in public health, clinical health education, high school health education, college teaching, parent coaching, and family wellness.
She holds a Master of Public Health from California State University, Long Beach and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from San Diego State University.
Siah taught Health, Nutrition, and Women’s Health at Las Positas College for approximately 17 years and has worked in health education roles with organizations including Kaiser Permanente, San Mateo County, and FHP/PacifiCare.
She has served as an editor and reviewer for nutrition, health, and wellness textbooks and educational materials and is the author of four books, including Tales from Swankville and Persuasive Push vs. Shameless Shove.
She is also the creator of the Move FORWARD Framework, a practical approach that helps families understand what is happening beneath behavior, reduce unnecessary pressure, strengthen connection, and determine meaningful next steps.
