Move FORWARD Coaching Program
Your step-by-step path to reduce pressure, understand what's really going on, and rebuild connection with your child.
The goal isn’t less rigor. It’s healthier rigor grounded in values, identity, and balance.
Many of us were raised with a checklist:
- be productive
- do well in school
- look a certain way
- keep it together
These messages often come from good places—valuing effort, discipline, and health.
But over time, especially in today’s achievement-driven culture, they can quietly shift.
Kids can do everything “right” and still feel:
empty, lost, or unsure of who they are beyond the next goal.
This work isn’t about lowering standards.
Rigor is healthy. Structure is healthy. Caring about achievement is healthy.
But the balance has shifted too far toward constant performance and external validation—and away from connection, identity, and defining success in a more personal way.
The goal is to restore that balance.
To understand:
- where pressure is coming from
- how it shapes coping
- and how to help kids build a sense of identity and well-being that isn’t dependent on checking the next box
That’s where I come in.
As a parent and board-certified health coach, I help families recognize early signs of pressure-related coping before they escalate.
- This might show up as:
anxiety - overwhelm,
- disordered eating
- body image struggles,
- perfectionism, or shutdown.
Instead of reacting with more control or fear, I help parents respond with clarity, connection, and confidence.
Through personalized, evidence-based coaching, we focus on:
- reducing pressure and all-or-nothing thinking
- supporting healthy coping and emotional regulation
- building a more flexible relationship with food and body
- creating sustainable routines around sleep, nutrition, and stress
- strengthening the parent–child relationship
Food, emotions, expectations, and body image don’t need to become battles.
With the right support, they become calmer conversations, and opportunities for growth.
I use my signature 7-step Move FORWARD framework to help families build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and create a more balanced, sustainable way forward.
Move FORWARD
A 7-Step Coaching Framework for Understanding Pressure, Coping, and Behavior
The Move FORWARD method is a personalized, 7-step coaching process designed to support parents and individuals when something feels off.
This work helps you understand what’s really going on beneath behavior so you can respond with clarity, confidence, and connection, while building a more sustainable way forward.
Clients often come to me feeling stuck between wanting to achieve and wanting to feel well.
Stress and pressure can quietly disrupt that balance, showing up as:
- anxiety and overwhelm
- irritability or shutdown
- lack of motivation
- perfectionism or all-or-nothing thinking
- inconsistent routines or difficulty following through
Whether you’re supporting your child or navigating this yourself, it can feel confusing, and hard to know what actually helps.
This is where the FORWARD framework comes in.
Built on the pillars of Family, Fit, and Flow, this approach focuses on:
- strengthening connection and communication (Family)
- aligning goals with strengths, interests, and well-being (Flow)
- helping strengths, interests, and passions fit with the demands of daily life so life feels more natural, balanced, and sustainable (Fit)
Together, we work to:
- reduce pressure without lowering expectations
- build healthier, more flexible coping strategies
- support emotional and mental well-being
- create routines that are realistic and sustainable
The goal isn’t perfection.
It’s helping you or your child feel more grounded, more connected, and more confident moving forward.
If something feels off, this gives you a clear place to start.
Below are the details of the Move FORWARD program:
-
F — Focus on Family Values
We begin by clarifying your family’s core values and vision for health, connection, and healing. These values become the foundation for your parenting decisions and how you show up for your child. Together, we reframe what physical and mental health look like in your unique family system, helping you lead with purpose instead of fear.
-
O — Organize and Oversee the Care Team
You don’t have to manage this alone. I help you identify, organize, and collaborate with the key professionals you or your child needs—therapists, dietitians, doctors, and school supports. I fill in the gaps, helping you coordinate care so everyone is working toward the same goal. I’ll guide you through what questions to ask, how to advocate for your child, and how to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
-
R — Recognize Generational Patterns
We look at how your own upbringing and family history around stress, pressure, achievement, food, body image, and emotions may be impacting your life and/or parenting today. Together, we break cycles of shame, perfectionism, mental health or diet culture, and create a healthier, more compassionate narrative for your family moving forward.
-
W — What to Say (and Not to Say)
Many parents worry they’ll say the wrong thing. I provide scripts and communication strategies for difficult conversations, whether it’s around meals, emotions, or body image. You’ll learn what helps (and what can unintentionally hurt), so you can talk with your child in ways that build trust, safety, and connection.
-
A — Anchor Yourself with Emotional Regulation
Your child needs you to be their safe harbor. We focus on helping you regulate your own emotions, so you can respond calmly instead of reacting out of fear or frustration. You’ll learn strategies to stay grounded, even in the hardest moments, and how to model resilience for your child.
-
R — Rebuild Relationships, Instill Resilience
General anxiety or unhealthy eating habits and potential eating disorders often strain family relationships. I support you in rebuilding connection with your child by focusing on attunement, presence, and empathy. Whether trust has been broken or communication feels tense, you’ll learn how to repair and strengthen your bond, without stepping into the role of "police.”
-
D — Develop a Roadmap for Long-Term Wellness
Develop a roadmap for long-term healing because it can be a journey, not a straight line. Together, we create a sustainable, long-term plan tailored to your child and family.
At the end of our 6 weeks together you will have the following items in place:
- A clear plan for what to do next
- Tools to help your child (and yourself) feel safe and supported
- Confidence that you’re not alone and you’re doing this right
- Support between therapy and doctor visits
- A trusted parent and health coach who gets it and guides you along the way
The FORWARD program gives parents and individuals the tools, clarity, and support to move forward.
I help you shift from stress and uncertainty to a place of calm and connection with a clear plan in place.
You’ll feel more prepared for challenges, more able to recognize progress, and more confident adjusting when bumps happen or life changes.
You won’t have to guess what to do next.
You’ll leave with a clear roadmap, knowing how to support your child now and as things evolve over time.
